| Mystery solved by Mike. Apparently "The Arabic Man" is a test transmission of All India Radio's transmitters. The code words spoken by the announcer presumably identify the actual transmitter site used. |

Quebec Romeo 7 full transmission 17385 kHz 1100 UTC 14 DEC 05 In order to identify the language used, I
posted the clip to the Usenet group soc.culture.china. He is a reply from
"gus" But wait! I played the clip to a colleague of mine who travels to China and who has a Chinese translator. He said it is NOT Chinese, but may be Thai. I then sent the clip to the website http://www.thailandqa.com/ and got the following reply: First
of all this is definitely Thai. Here is a complete translation by Mike of the above forum.

The male voice used is "live" and various background noises can be heard.
